Karate Gi and Protective Gear Regulations

Karate Gi
  • Must be white. 
  • White, red, or blue shoulder patches are permitted. 
  • Gold shoulder patches are not allowed. 
 
INFO  Protective Gear:
  • Mandatory Equipment:  
    • Seiken (fist) protector 
    • Foot protector 
    • Shin guard 
    • Mouthguard 
    • Chest protector for females over 14 years old 
    • Groin protector (suspensor) for males over 18 years old (WKF-type, WKF Approved not mandatory) 
  • Optional (Permitted but Not Mandatory): 
    • Helmet for competitors under 14 years old (must be WKF Approved)
    • Body protector (can be worn both inside and outside the gi, WKF-type, WKF Approved not mandatory) 
  • Prohibited Equipment:  
    • Face mask 
  • Coaches' Attire Mandatory:  
    • Tracksuit (a T-shirt is allowed)
    • Coach’s armband

Cancellation of a category, change of the weight or age category… ) after the deadline 02.28.2025 costs +20 €.
